ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Online orders at Godfather's Pizza restaurants have an average sales price 30 percent higher than the chain's traditional in-store, carryout and delivery purchases, the company reports.

What began nine months ago as a 20-location pilot has expanded to include 130 corporate and franchised stores, with 32 more on the way. Godfathers is using Fishbowl's online ordering solution.

"We quickly realized that online ordering in the pizza industry was no longer a luxury, it was a necessity," said Curtis Stalnaker, director of IT for Godfather's Pizza. "We have been thrilled with the preliminary results, as the online ordering application has already generated over half a million dollars in revenue."    Also a Fishbowl e-mail client, Godfather's Pizza has seen a significant increase in new e-club members driven by the online ordering site. The number of online orders increased nearly 25 percent in weeks an e-mail offer was distributed to The Godfather's E-Club.
