ABBOTSFORD, B.C. -- Panago, a 150-store pizza chain, launched a new payment service called Debit at the Door, on March 1. The service allows customers to pay delivery drivers via a wireless credit card terminal.

The portable terminal offers instant authorization of all major credit cards, and its cellular technology works within a secure encrypted network.

Throughout March, the 150-store pizza chain will distribute about 850 of the terminals to for use in its Western Canada stores.

Panago CEO, Sean DeGregorio, said the company's initiative to launch the service came from customer requests for it.

All of Panago's stores are delivery-carryout units selling a wide line of premium pizzas.
