Papa Gino's renamed Papa Gino's Pizzeria

DEDHAM, Mass. — To better reflect its Italian roots, Papa Gino's is renaming itself Papa Gino's Pizzeria and adding a new look to its stores.
 
According to a news release, the first store bearing the new moniker and facelift will open Aug. 28 in Shrewsbury, Mass. The new look includes expanded guest seating with comfortable, updated booths, tables and chairs, and warm, inviting colors to create a bistro feel. Additional changes include an expanded counter to showcase a larger feature board and offer direct views of the pizza-making process. The Shrewsbury location gets an outdoor patio.
 
Papa Gino's also adopted a new marketing tagline, "The family pizzeria since 1961," to reflect its long-standing success in the pizza industry within New England. The statement will appear in Papa Gino's future advertising campaigns.
 
"By developing a new restaurant design, logo and tagline, we are highlighting our pizzeria roots and providing our guests with an updated, inviting atmosphere to dine in," said Michael McManama, senior vice president of brand development for Papa Gino's Pizzeria. "Our updated look is a direct response to our extensive guest research. Our guests were looking for a more rewarding dine-in experience while enjoying Papa Gino's signature high-quality pizza and Italian food favorites."
 
In addition to the new design, Papa Gino's will offer new menu items, including an eggplant panini, new desserts and the recently introduced Rustic Pizza.
 
During a grand-opening event Sept. 16, customers at the Shrewsbury store will receive free samples of the Rustic Pizza, enjoy face painting activities for the kids and have the opportunity to spin the prize wheel. Children's meals will sell for 99 cents with the purchase of an accompanying adult meal.
