Papa John's awards $10,000 ''Works' scholarship to Florida student

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Papa John's International announced that it has awarded Lee Cadenhead, of Crestview, Fla., a $10,000 scholarship, making him the company's fourth Works scholarship recipient.

Last year Cadenhead received a $1,000 Papa John's scholarship.

The Works scholarship, funded by both Papa John's and Scholarly Pursuits, is awarded to one student annually. According to a release, Papa John's has awarded more than $4.7 million in scholarships to 4,785 high school seniors over the past seven years.

Via surprise pizza delivery, Angelia Beverly, a Papa John's area supervisor in Crestview, presented Cadenhead with the scholarship. Cadenhead also was recognized in front of franchisees and operators at the Papa John's Eleventh Annual Operators' Conference, May 7-8 in Louisville.
