LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Papa John's International (Nasdaq: PZZA) recognized its top franchisees during its annual Operators' Conference, held May 13-14.
According to a news release, four operations were chosen from 12 nominees, which were graded on product quality, customer service, community citizenship, training and profitability.
The four franchise groups are: Hometown Franchise of the Year (operators of one store), Hinkle Enterprises, Inc., Elizabethtown, Ky.; Small Group Franchise of the Year (one to four stores), RoysBoys Pizza LLC, Atlanta, Ga.; Large Group Franchise of the Year (five or more stores) Miami Pizza, Inc., Miami, Fla.; and International Franchise of the Year, Corporativo GMP Mexico, SA DE CV.
"Our franchisees make up about 75 percent of the Papa John's family, and it is extremely important to reward and recognize their achievements," John Schnatter, Papa John's founder and CEO, said in the release. "All of the winners are excellent role models for the entire franchise community in terms of product quality and customer service."
