Papa John's Las Vegas launches scholarship program

Las Vegas Papa John's outlets have introduced the "A Better Slice for Education" scholarship program.

Administered by non-profit The Public Education Foundation (the foundation), Clark County high school seniors are encouraged to download the Papa John's "A Better Slice For Education" application online for the chance to earn a $1,000 scholarship.

Applications can also be picked up at any Papa John's location or by visiting the foundation offices at 3360 West Sahara Ave., Suite 160, Las Vegas, Nev., 89102.

Completed scholarship applications and supporting documents must be submitted by the Feb. 29 deadline to the foundation for academic year 2012–2013.

"We are committed to assisting college-bound high school seniors in these tough times achieve their dreams of a higher education," said Jim Polito, Papa John's director of operations. "All Las Vegas Valley Papa John's locations are united to help support seniors who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement through $1,000 scholarships."

Since 1994, the foundation has awarded more than 2,800 scholarships totaling $6 million to local high school seniors.
