Dec. 27, 2011

Papa John's has launched a new app available for Android smartphone and tablet users.

The app features the chain's entire menu, special offers and coupons from local restaurants, pre-stored favorites, restaurant locators and more.

Users can order with or without a PapaJohns.com account.

The app's launch was announced on the Papa John's Facebook page last week, along with the company's Galaxy Nexus Giveaway promotion. A new Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android phone will be given away to one winner every day through Dec. 31.

Additionally, Papa John's is offering a limited time, 25-percent discount for those who use promo code DROID on their new Android app.

With the launch, Papa John's joins Pizza Hut, Gatti's Pizza, Marco's Pizza, Hungry Howie's, Figaro's and other smaller chains in offering an Android app.

Domino's has Android options for the Australian and U.K. markets.

Papa John's released its iPhone app at the end of 2010.
