VANCOUVER, Wash. — For the third year in a row, American consumers in the annual Consumers' Choice in Chains survey voted Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza the Best Pizza Chain in America.
According to a news release, Papa Murphy's was awarded top honors (the Platinum Award) in the pizza category.
The Consumers' Choice in Chains survey is commissioned annually by Restaurants & Institutions magazine and is conducted by the Reed Research Group. More than 2,600 consumers rated 123 chains on eight important attributes of guest satisfaction. Scores for each attribute -- food quality, service, convenience, cleanliness, value, atmosphere, menu variety and reputation -- were weighted to create an overall score.
"We are so gratified and pleased that American consumers have once again named us Best Pizza Chain in America," said Jeff Hill, chief strategic officer for Papa Murphy's. "This award is a testament to our outstanding owners and franchisees, and our overall commitment as a company to offer the highest quality products at a great value for today's busy families."
With nearly 900 units in 30 states, Papa Murphy's is the sixth-largest pizza chain in the country. The company plans to open nearly 60 additional units in 2005.
