Papa Romano's announced a giveaway where one winner at each of its locations throughout April will receive free pizza and Pepsi for a year. To mark the pizzeria's 40th birthday, customers who find a specially marked golden ticket on their Papa Romano's pizza box, whether it be at the store or delivered, will be able to redeem it for their year-long prize (estimated value = $850). There will be one winning ticket distributed at each store, according to a company statement.
"Papa Romano's and its franchisees are active members in their communities and are proud to be celebrating 40 years of serving fresh and tasty pizza to their customers throughout Michigan," said Sam Askar, president of Papa Romano's Pizza and Askar Brands Inc. "We are looking forward to giving back to our customers and saying thank you with special in-store deals and offers throughout our anniversary month, including our golden ticket contest where we are excited to be awarding 45 of our patrons with free pizza and Pepsi for an entire year."
On April 1, 1970, Michigan-based pizza chain Papa Romano's was born when it opened its first pizza shop at Nine Mile and Telegraph in Southfield.
