ParTech Inc., a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corp., launched in February its new Boundless Hospitality by PAR initiative, designed to serve as a vision to help restaurant operators conduct business in 2010 and beyond.
The initiative includes new solution offerings for fast casual, QSR and casual-dining restaurants, and an integrated partner program focused on enhancing restaurant technology's ability to help operators solve challenges and better connect with guests. Program partners include Microsoft, Epson, QSR Automations and VeriFone.
Peter Wolf, PAR Tech's VP of marketing and business development, said the initiative also was developed to help restaurant operators communicate with post-recession and social-media savvy consumers who are looking to feel more valued as customers.
"A majority of conversations between consumers and restaurant operators happen outside of the four walls of the restaurant," he said.
And with so many conversations taking place via social media and other outlets, "operators need flexibility to react to all of this information," Wolf said. "There's also an issue of technology to support that flexibility."
To help facilitate closing the bridge of communication, PAR Tech also has introduced its EverServe family of point-of-sale solutions.
The EverServ suite is a main component of PAR's Boundless Hospitality program and includes the EverServe POS QSR software suite and EverServ 2000 POS terminal. The terminal joins PAR's EverServ 6000 and Kiosk family, a lower-cost solution featuring the smallest footprint in the PAR offering.
The suite is intended to provide a "conversational ordering" process for restaurant customers, Wolf said.
