July 12, 2013

Peter Piper Pizza will celebrate its 40-year anniversary by hosting the grand re-opening of its second next-generation restaurant in Peoria, Ariz., July 26.

This multi-year project, called "Piper Remix," will include the re-imaging of all 139 locations by 2018.

The grand opening event will feature a DJ, photo booth and giveaways until 2 p.m. The first 200 families in line by 11 a.m. will receive one free pizza per month for an entire year.

According to the company, the new restaurant design is aimed at attracting millennial families and features new exterior color and signage, revamped modern interiors and new store configurations showcasing glass, brick and lighting. More flexible seating arrangements will be available including areas for customizable family dining as well as large parties, an enhanced kitchen, an upgraded audio/visual experience including digital menu boards, and more beverage options such as locally crafted bottled beers and wine.

Peter Piper Pizza's signature pies will remain the same, with dough made fresh daily, vegetables chopped by hand and mozzarella cheese grated from the block.

"Our goal is to bring together families and friends over fresh food while providing the latest games at a great value," said Peter Piper Pizza CEO Charles Bruce. "We want to make sure we're meeting the expectations of today's family dining experience and reaching prospective guests who have never visited us before."

The first Piper Remix took place at the 3rd Street and Bell Peter Piper Pizza, which debuted in April.

Based in Phoenix, Ariz., Peter Piper currently has 139 corporate and franchise-owned locations throughout the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico, with new franchise agreements in Dallas, Houston, Amarillo and Lubbock, Texas.
