Pie Five Pizza's chef Andy Wittman has created the Pumpkin Patch Pie to celebrate the season.
The dessert features pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, and is available through Dec. 1.
"It's a delicious blend of cake and cookie made from real pumpkin and lots of other fresh ingredients. It's the perfect complement to a great personalized pizza at Pie Five this fall," Wittman said in a news release.
Additionally, Pie Five announced it will open its second location in the greater Salt Lake City market on Oct. 21. The new unit is owned by franchisee John Gilleland and his partners, who opened their first unit in April in Holladay, Utah's Canyon Slope Square.
The second Pie Five is located in Quarry Bend Shopping Center in Sandy, Utah.
Prior to its official opening, the new Sandy restaurant will host four private events to raise funds for the Utah Food Bank. Gilleland will present a check to representatives of the food bank during the grand opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 21. The Sandy Chamber of Commerce will also be on-hand for the official ribbon cutting.
With the Sandy opening, Dallas-based Pie Five Pizza will have two locations in Utah, 12 in Texas and one each in Kansas and North Carolina. Total announced franchise restaurants under contract currently number 105 in Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
