Sept. 13, 2013
Pie Five Pizza Co. will celebrate the grand opening of its 12th Dallas-Fort Worth area restaurant on Sept. 16. The concept debuted in Fort Worth in 2011.
The new unit is located at 2645 East Southlake Blvd in Southlake, near Dragon Stadium.
"Word is spreading around DFW that Pie Five is a truly better way to experience your favorite pizza," said Rebecca Rankin, the unit's general manager who transferred from the Pie Five on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth. "Once people come in and see how easy it is to get their own perfect pizza with whatever toppings they want all for one great price, they're hooked. Then they tell their friends about us. That's one of the reasons I enjoy working here so much. We're like a cool new discovery that people love to share."
Prior to Monday's official opening, the new Southlake restaurant will host private events to raise funds for Grapevine Relief And Community Exchange (GRACE), a Grapevine-based non-profit relief agency that provides assistance for individuals and families in crisis. Rankin will present a check to GRACE representatives during the grand opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16. The Southlake Chamber of Commerce will also be on-hand for the official ribbon cutting.
With the Southlake opening, Pie Five will have 12 locations in Texas and one each in Kansas, North Carolina and Utah. Total announced franchise restaurants under contract currently number 105 in Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
