Pizza chefs buying wood-burning ovens in quest for perfect pies

Chicago Tribune: Jonathan Goldsmith's wood-burning oven is imported from Italy and made for pizza making only, he said. The owner of Spacca Napoli considers the oven "sacred."
Like Goldsmith, other pizza makers around Chicago speak of their wood-burning pizza ovens with the kind of adoration usually reserved for religious figures and Italian sports cars.
