CHICAGO -- For the second year running, CookTek has been named to the Inc. magazine list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. by Inc.
According to a news release, Chicago-based CookTek landed at #51 on the list.
The company manufactures induction cooking equipment for the commercial foodservice industry, including delivery bags for the pizza industry.
"I am very pleased to recognize the entire CookTek team for their part in helping us to achieve this distinction for the second year in a row," said Robert E. Wolters, Jr., CookTek president and CEO.
According to the release, the company achieved a 2,496 percent increase in sales over the past few years. The company appeared on Inc.'s list in 2002 at #270.
"The entrepreneurs you'll find on the Inc. 500 have the type of attitude we need to get this economy moving again," said Inc. editor-in-chief John Koten. "For them, a tough market is not an excuse for poor performance, but an opportunity to innovate and rise above the competition."
