Pizza Fusion adds organic school program

May 23, 2010
Pizza Fusion has launched School Organic Pizza Fridays to help children and their families eat a healthy diet that helps to prevent cancer, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other ailments linked to pesticide consumption.

Recent studies have found links to children's exposure to pesticides in food and the incidence of ADHD. A study published on May 17 in the Official Journal of The American Academy of Pediatrics links ADHD in children to their exposure to pesticides on the non-organic fruits and vegetables they consume. According to a 2008 Emory University study and the recently published President's Cancer Panel Report, switching to organic foods reduces the presence of pesticide compounds in children's bodies to near-undetectable levels.

The School Organic Pizza Fridays program is designed to meet the challenge of introducing organic, healthy foods to children, who can often be picky eaters. Pizza Fusion hopes that its delicious, organic and all-natural fare products will make the transition to more nutritious food easier.

Parents, teachers and schools interested in participating in the School Organic Pizza Friday program by Pizza Fusion should contact the company at info@pizzafusion.com.
