Pizza Fusion expanding further throughout the Middle East

April 2, 2013

Pizza Fusion announced today the details of an agreement to further expand throughout the Middle East.

Pizza Fusion Master Franchisor, Samir Group Inc., has signed an agreement with Food Fusion Est. to open up to 25 locations throughout the United Arab Emirates. The UAE area development deal requires Food Fusion Est. to open 10 restaurants throughout the next five years and five more locations the following five years.

After the first 15 locations have opened, Food Fusion Est. has the option to open an additional 10 Pizza Fusions in the remaining term of the deal.

Amir Mahasseny is president of Food Fusion Est. and has 24 years of experience running and restructuring several retail and distribution companies.

"I discovered Pizza Fusion in Saudi Arabia and loved the concept, product range and its commitment to quality throughout. I am convinced that it can carve out a significant slice of the region's pizza market. Pizza Fusion targets a niche market for health and environmentally conscious customers offering a ground floor opportunity that I believe has exponential growth potential far outpacing that of the broad restaurant industry," Mahasseny said.

Food Fusion's agreement takes advantage of Samir Group's plans to open 40 Middle East locations within the next five years. Since first introducing Saudi Arabia to Pizza Fusion, Samir Group has opened eight of units to date.

The announcement of Pizza Fusion's UAE expansion comes amid the company's pending merger with Unique Pizza and Subs Corp.
