Pizza Hut adds Hulu incentive to hunger fundraiser

For the seventh consecutive year, Pizza Hut is hosting a fundraiser for the World Hunger Relief Campaign. The effort runs through Nov. 9, and the pizza chain will collect donations in-store and online at PizzaHut.com.

Contributions are as follows: $1 (feeds four children for a day), $3 (can feed two children for a week), $5 (feeds a child for a month) and $10 (feeds an entire classroom for a day). Last year, Pizza Hut helped feed more than 12 million children in need, according to a press release.

"No issue around the world is met with more passion by us than world hunger," said Scott Bergren, CEO, Pizza Hut. "As the largest pizza company in the world, we can have an impact on this global issue. We can't express enough appreciation to our incredibly loyal, and generous, customers who join us in our effort to end world hunger."

Earlier this month, Pizza Hut's parent company Yum! Brands, announced a new World Hunger Relief PSA featuring multi-Grammy Award winner Christina Aguilera.

As part of the campaign this year, Pizza Hut consumers who donate $3, $5 or $10 online at PizzaHut.com will receive a free two-week subscription to Hulu Plus. Hulu will also donate up to $8 for each customer that retains his or her subscription to Hulu Plus for two months or longer.
