Pizza Hut asks fans to create Adult Swim commercial

Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s late-night, adult-oriented program, has teamed up with Pizza Hut in asking fans to help create a custom commercial that will debut in the summer.

According to TV by the Numbers, the “Fan-Made Contest” asks fans to submit videos describing their favorite moment involving pizza. Fans will then be able to view and vote on their favorites on the Adult Swim website.

The video with the most votes will be recreated into a commercial for Pizza Hut. The creator of the winning video will receive an all-expense paid trip to the filming.

The contest coincides with Adult Swim’s “Ragbag of Jollification tour,” a 10-stop campus block party featuring carnival-themed games, music and promotions. During the tour, a Pizza Hut tent will be set up for fans to create and submit videos for the contest.

Upon conclusion of the tour, the contest moves online where, from May 2 through May 22, fans will be encouraged through Adult Swim on-air spots and online ads to upload their videos. Submissions will be reviewed internally. Five finalists will be chosen and their videos will be featured on the website from May 31 through June 12 for voting.

The first stop of the tour is March 30 in Baton Rouge, La.
