LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) reported that sales at its U.S. Pizza Hut corporate-owned stores rose 4 percent for the four-week period ended Sept. 6. The company does not report sales numbers for its franchise stores, which make up roughly 75 percent of Pizza Hut's U.S. unit numbers.
This marks the third consecutive period of sales increases for the company (see related stories Sales at U.S. Pizza Huts rise 4% for June-July period and July-August sales rise 1% at U.S. Pizza Huts).
Blended sales at Yum's international units, which include 12,000 Pizza Hut and KFC units in 100 countries, rose 12 percent after conversion to U.S. dollars.
