Pizza Hut creates OKCupid profile for fans to pledge brand commitment

Feb. 11, 2014

As part of Pizza Hut's "Commit to Greatness" campaign, the brand is seeking one-of-a-kind proposals from its fans via its new OkCupid profile. According to a news release, Pizza Hut receives more than 10,000 proposals every year via its social media channels.

In response, the company's new profile will offer those fans the ability to "pledge a lifelong commitment" to the brand. Pizza Hut has launched a contest seeking fans with a one-of-a-kind proposal. Fans can comment on the Pizza Hut profile on or send an Instagram video or Vine with #CommitToGreatness describing what they believe is the most creative proposal. Three fans will be chosen as finalists, and one fan will win a lifetime of free Pizza Hut.

"Our fans are the best and they tell us all the time via our social channels that they want to lock us in for the long run. We think it's time to take that mutual feeling to the next level with a commitment," said Caroline Masullo, director of Digital Experience, Pizza Hut. "Through the Commit to Greatness program Pizza Hut will accept someone's social proposal. We know our fans are one-of-a-kind and we are excited to see the out-of-this-world proposals we receive in exchange for a lifetime of free pizza."

The deadline for submitting #CommitToGreatness contest proposals is Feb. 21. Three finalists will be chosen to receive a trip to Pizza Hut headquarters in Plano, Texas, for a series of challenges and other "meet the parents" activities. The winner will be chosen on March 14.
