Pizza Hut is aiming for a bigger slice of the hand-tossed crust category, announcing today that a new recipe renders the chain's signature crust option lighter and airier, with more varying textures than previous crusts.
Pizza Hut said in a news release that the path to the rollout included taking on the largest and most intense training program ever for the company.
"It took a lot of hard work to get us to a position where we feel we have the best hand-tossed product available today," Carrie Walsh, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut, said in the release. "The recipe for this pizza is a game changer for the industry, and the preparation by our team members to make each Hand-Tossed pizza one of a kind leads the way in the pizza category."
Pizza Hut is so confident in the new crust that the company guarantees that if a consumer doesn't love it, the next pizza is "on us." The guarantee is redeemable within 30 days of purchase.
