Pizza Hut franchisee targets Malaysian growth

QSR Brands Bhd, the Pizza Hut franchisee in Malaysia and Singapore, has announced plans to open 20 new units in 2011.

According to Bernama, the expansion will focus on new restaurants throughout Malaysia, where there are 220 Pizza Hut outlets offering dine-in, takeaway, delivery and online ordering services.

QSR Brands operates more than 260 outlets in both countries.

To launch the expansion, the company plans to spend more than RM2 million (about $650,000) on advertising and promotions across all media.
