Pizza Hut launches website to encourage literacy

The Pizza Hut Book It! Program has launched a new campaign called "Spark Your Greatness," as well as an accompanying website to encourage children's literacy at bookitsummer.com.

Through the new site, kids and their families will be challenged to complete reading tasks, download fun activities and play games to unlock items to customize their own dragon and win prizes.

"Summer is a great time to continue reading aloud as a family and it can also help keep children motivated to read on their own during the school break," said Shelley Morehead, Pizza Hut Book It! program administrator. "Book It! and Pizza Hut have been promoting children's literacy and getting kids excited about reading for 29 years, so Spark Your Greatness is an entertaining and natural extension for us."
