Pizza Hut offering 50-percent mark down for Thanksgiving Eve

Pizza Hut is hosting "Red Roof Wednesday" for those seeking a holiday deal on Thanksgiving Eve. On Nov. 21 the chain is offering a 50-percent discount on online purchases of its new Overstuffed Pizza to the first 1,000 fans who visit the promotion on

The event begins at 4 a.m. Nov. 21 and is redeemable through Nov. 28. Red Roof Wednesday early birds have a chance to get the Overstuffed Pizza for $6.49, or half off the regular price of $12.99.

Pizza Hut expects to sell more than 1 million pizzas on Red Roof Wednesday as people avoid cooking the day before Thanksgiving.

"Red Roof Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, is one of our busiest days of the year," said Kurt Kane, chief marketing officer, Pizza Hut. "While families gather from near and far to celebrate the holiday, we are excited to help make it great with an incredible new product stuffed with everyone's favorite combinations from Pizza Hut."

Pizza Hut's new Overstuffed Pizza combines pizza sauce, toppings and extra cheese seasoned with a special Italian blend between two layers of crust. It is available in two recipes: Italian Meat Trio (pepperoni, pork, and Italian sausage) or Supremo (Italian sausage, onion, green pepper and mushroom).

Other Red Roof Wednesday deals from Pizza Hut include:

  • Beginning Red Roof Wednesday through Cyber Monday (Nov. 26) all online orders are 15-percent off exclusively for Pizza Hut Facebook fans; and
