Pizza Hut is conducting 140-second job interviews this week in its search for a new "manager of digital greatness." The interviews will take place in Austin, Texas, at the South by Southwest Conferences & Festivals (SXSW), an event featuring music, independent films and emerging technologies.
According to the company, the technique is "an ode to the often forgotten elevator speech," which requires clear, concise communication when presenting an idea in a limited amount of time. It was the chosen interviewing method for its compatibility with digital conversations that unfold in real time.
The manager of digital greatness will report to the director of digital marketing and will be responsible for guiding the digital team while engaging with the Pizza Hut fan base.
The candidate is expected to have social media dexterity, knowledge of digital trends and the ability to execute new ways to make Pizza Hut a top digital brand. Pizza Hut has more than 10 million brand likes on Facebook, the most Twitter followers in the pizza category and is also active on Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms.

Basic requirements for the position include a bachelor's degree, 5-plus years of experience in digital advertising, marketing or a related field and a proven track record for managing teams and driving complex projects.
In Austin, interviews will take place from 1-5 p.m., March 10 at the Hilton Austin at 500 East 4th St. Candidates must bring a photo I.D., a smartphone and will be required to apply for the position online prior to the interview. A Pizza Hut representative will be in the main lobby of the hotel to direct interested festival attendees to the interview area.
