Pizza Hut selects new creative agency amidst lagging sales

Pizza Hut has chosen McGarry Bowen as its new creative agency, according to Ad Age. The chain launched a review in June amidst lagging sales blamed, in part, on inconsistent value messaging.

Its second quarter same-store sales declined 2 percent while its biggest competitors, Domino's and Papa John's, saw big jumps. McGarry Bowen takes over for Interpublic Group of Cos.' The Martin Agency, which has been Pizza Hut's lead since 2009.

Pizza Hut's media agency, Optimedia, was not affected by the search.
