LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Pizza Hut reported sales at its U.S. company stores for the four-week period ended Jan. 25, dropped 4 percent.
According to a release, the company attributed the decline to the shift of the Christmas holiday to its first reporting period for 2003. Last year, when the holiday was recorded in the company's final reporting period, sales were flat compared to the year prior.
The company, which is owned by Louisville-based Yum! Brands, has yet to report full-year 2002 results.
