LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Sales at U.S. corporate-owned Pizza Huts climbed 1 percent for the company's four-week accounting period 12, ended Nov. 29.
According to a news release, sales for the comparable period last year also were up 1 percent.
Pizza Hut parent Yum! Brands does not report sales figures for its franchised and licensed stores, nor does it break out international Pizza Hut sales numbers from those blended with those of sister brand KFC. (According to the report international sales were up 16 percent on a constant dollar basis.)
In its 2002 annual report, Yum put Pizza Hut's U.S. unit count at 1,760 corporate stores and 5,469 franchised and licensed stores.
