Pizza Inn breaks into Chinese market

Pizza Inn Holdings, Inc. has announced the expansion of its Pizza Inn concept in China with the opening of a new location in the City of Hangzhou in the Zhejiang province.

Through a five-restaurant development agreement with Hangzhou Restaurant Management Company Ltd., Pizza Inn has unveiled a new design -- a full-service restaurant with high-end decor and a broader menu to offer a more upscale occasion to Chinese consumers. Customers can order from a menu that includes steak, duck, pasta, and a wide variety of western dishes in addition to its large selection of pizzas.

"We have a wonderful partner to grow the presence of Pizza Inn in China, and this new restaurant shows it," said Charlie Morrison, CEO and president of Pizza Inn Holdings. "This new concept is an exciting part of the evolution of the Pizza Inn® brand to capture the great potential China has to offer."

The development agreement with Hangzhou Restaurant Management is for five years, covering the Province of Zhejiang in China. The next locations for Pizza Inn restaurants are expected to open in Ning Po, Wenzhou and Hangzhou.
