Pizza Inn comps up in Q4

THE COLONY, Texas — Domestic chain-wide comparable sales at Pizza Inn restaurants increased 1.1 percent in the company's fourth quarter ended June 24, the company reported. For the year, comparable-store sales decreased 0.7 percent.
 
Comparable buffet restaurant sales increased 3.1 percent in the fourth quarter and increased 0.8 percent for the year.
 
Revenues for the year were $47.1 million, down from revenues of $50.6 million in 2006 and $55.3 million in 2005.
 
Net income for the 2007 fourth quarter was $658,000, compared with a loss of $4.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2006. For the year, net income was $206,000 compared with a loss of $6 million in 2006.
