Pizza operators using CAPS never see bounced checks

MILWAUKEE—Universal Nationwide, a division of Universal Savings BancHoldings, Inc., announced the signing of a deal with a large regional Dominos Pizza franchisee who will use its patent-pending CAPS (check assurance protection system).

"This is just another indicator of how well the marketplace is accepting the way we are changing the check-guarantee end of the business," said Ed Thompson, vice president of sales, in a news release.

Universal Nationwide's check guarantee and rebate programs not only pay users' bad checks, participating pizzerias never receive bad checks, because they all go directly to Universal for payment.

"With our program, there is no more waiting, or getting reimbursed for the check," Thompson said. "It's there when you deposit it."
