For the second year in a row, Pizza Patron will be raising funds in all its stores nationwide for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during October.
As part of the campaign, Pizza Patron stores have St. Jude posters and counter top displays that explain why and how to donate.
"Our teams are very excited about St. Jude's 'Compre una Calabaza de Esperanza' or 'Pin Up a Pumpkin' fundraising program. We raised $40,000 last year and hope to top that in 2011," said Andrew Gamm, brand director for Pizza Patron. "St. Jude is an amazing charity and we hope everyone will come out and give generously."
Gamm said that donations of any size can be given and the donation will be indicated on the receipt in a separate line item. One-hundred percent of the money raised will go to St. Jude's.
St. Jude is a pediatric treatment and research facility in Memphis, Tenn., which treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. No child is ever turned away from St. Jude's because of his or her family's inability to pay.
