Pizza Patrón's triple-digit sales growth driven by 'aggressive' advertising

The San Antonio Pizza Patrón stores have announced January year-over-year comp sales growth of more than 325 percent.

Pizza Patrón officials announced the numbers today for the franchise partners, S.A. Pizza Inc., who currently operate nine stores in San Antonio with two more under construction.

According to a news release, Pizza Patrón executives attribute the operator's success to new expansion, aggressive advertising of the company's latest "Any 3" promotion and a focus on the company's Favorita line of specialty pizzas.

"The launch of Pizza Patrón's Any 3 Large Pizzas $18 promotion, highlighting the brand's line of Favorita specialty pizzas, along with excellence in operations, all contributed to San Antonio's outstanding January sales results," said Andrew Gamm, brand director of Pizza Patrón.

Chris Partyka, owner and operator of S.A. Pizza Inc., said his stores' growth numbers have also been building because of the company's systems and standards.

"We have been aggressive in using radio, television and out-of-home media to get the word out about this fantastic Any 3 Large Pizzas for $18 deal," Partyka said in the release. "Also, in addition to making our dough fresh throughout the day, using 100-percent whole milk mozzarella cheese and handmade signature sauce from fresh-packed Roma tomatoes, the company recently shifted to using garden-fresh vegetable toppings. This further commitment to quality makes a huge difference in the flavor and freshness that our customers notice and are loving."
