Pizza Pizza throws Ultimate Football Pizza Party

Plenty of Canadians helped set the Super Bowl viewership record of 111 million, including Peter Rae of Mississauga, Ontario. To mark the big game, Toronto-based Pizza Pizza awarded Rae with the Ultimate Football Pizza Party, which included a home entertainment system valued at $5,000.

Rae was automatically entered into the chain's Super Bowl contest after placing a “future order” for the game last week. His winning order consisted of $169.81 worth of pizza, which translated into the entertainment system.

The prize included a 46-inch Samsung LED TV, Samsung Blu-ray player, Yamaha HDMI receiver and Paradigm home theatre speaker system. It was delivered and installed by technicians from Oakville Sight & Sound, which partnered with Pizza Pizza for the promotion.

"The look on Peter's face when we showed up at his door was priceless," said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer for Pizza Pizza. "Pizza Pizza is all about delivering quality and convenience. Giving our customers the option to place a future order is another way we're able to do that."

The contest was open to all residents of Ontario who placed a "future order" for Super Bowl Sunday online at between Jan. 20 and Feb. 4.
