HILLSBORO, Ore.—The Portland Business Journal named pizza POS maker FireFly Technologies the second-fastest growing private company in Oregon.

According to a news release, FireFly's revenue rose 534 percent from 2001 to 2003 due largely to sales of its Phoenix POS system.

"We are honored to be recognized," said managing partner Brian White. "We've had a tremendously positive response to the Phoenix restaurant software and we hope to stay near the top of the fastest growing list in the years to come."

To be eligible for the competition, companies must be based in Oregon or Clark County, Washington, be privately held, and have a minimum of $200,000 in revenues in 2001.
