gets fresh look, faster page loads

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—, a trade media site covering the pizza industry since 2001, has been redesigned with a new look, improved navigation, new features and better page-loading speed. In addition, its sister print publication, Pizzeria Operator Summary, has been redesigned and renamed Pizza Marketplace.

"Our goal was to improve the user experience on our site by placing the most-read information in easy-to-find places on the site," said senior editor Steve Coomes. "The new site is also significantly faster than our previous design, which allows our pages to load in the blink of an eye." was visited more than 1.6 million times in 2005; in addition, the site has 6,000 subscribers to its twice-weekly e-mail news alerts.

The redesign of Pizza Marketplace, a quarterly print publication, has yielded a magazine design that's visually different from its predecessor's business-journal look. Coomes said the change will allow more flexibility in story length, visual presentation and overall creativity. It has more than 10,000 subscribers in the United States.

"Our plan is to continue to advance Pizza Marketplace and—along with all of our media properties—and to continue providing cutting-edge publishing strategies to serve our readers and advertisers in new and unique ways," publisher Paul Barron said.

Pizza Marketplace and are owned by NetWorld Alliance in Louisville, Ky. Networld also publishes Fast Casual magazine and Quick Service Restaurant Report, as well as their respective web counterparts, and Each of the publications covers different sectors of the restaurant industry.
