PizzaRev plans to reach 65 units in 2015

PizzaRev marked its two-year anniversary this week by offering a $5 special on pizzas at its inaugural location in Northridge, Calif. The restaurant served more than 1,000 pizzas, according to a news release.

The company currently operates eight restaurants in the Los Angeles area and expects to hit the 65-unit mark by the end of 2015.

"There is tremendous growth potential for our build-your-own pizza franchise," co-CEO Rodney Eckerman said in the release."We are a data-driven company; we have a keen focus on strong unit-level economics, so our main concern is being best to market, versus first to market — our guest feedback and same-store sales growth prove our strategy is working."

Company executives plan to add 10 company-owned locations throughout California by the end of this year, and franchise agreements have been signed to bring PizzaRev to Minneapolis, North Dakota, South Dakota, Austin, Texas, St. Louis, San Diego, and Orange County, Calif.
