Atlanta-based VentiCorp, franchisor of Pizzeria Venti restaurants, is rolling out Presto tablets developed by E la Carte Inc. at units across the country.
The Italian casual dining chain also has plans to deploy the Presto tablets at its La Cucina di Venti and PV Piccolo Express foodservice concepts during the 4th quarter of this year.
The touchscreen tablets allow guests to browse detailed menus with pictures, place orders, split checks, make payments and play interactive games – all from their restaurant seats without having to wait.

For our guests, no more waiting is a wonderful thing."
According to Pizzeria Venti, the Presto tablet has shown an increase in sales by 10 percent by capitalizing on diners' urges through impulse orders, up sales and personalized recommendations. Wait times have been reduced by an average of 7 minutes per party, allowing restaurants to seat more guests by streamlining operations.
Pizzeria Venti originally tested the tablet technology in its Mountain View, Calif., location before rolling it out systemwide.

There are currently 12 Pizzeria Venti locations, with about 30 more in the development pipeline.
