Power Pizza baking more healthful pizzas

MIAMI — Power Pizza, a dine-in, delivery and carryout concept, wants to revolutionize pizza by making it more healthful.
According to a news release, Power blends whey protein concentrate into its dough to improve the nutritional value of a beloved dish traditionally filled with carbohydrates.
"The difference between our pizza and the competition's is that we have been able to create a product that is healthy and tastes great," said Eugenio "EJ" Martinez Jr., president and owner of Power Pizza.
In addition to its signature dough, Power Pizza features whole-wheat dough, Grande cheese and all-natural ingredients in its sauces. Its approach to pizza and the other food options in their extensive menu — including low-fat salads, wraps, multigrain pastas, strombolis and calzones — make a significant difference in the calorie intake of their customers.
