Pizza Fusion is a fresh franchise pizza concept that has shown tremendous growth since its inception in 2006. While most restaurants have seen a downturn in same store sales, Pizza Fusion has excelled, according to company statements.
For the 12 months ending June 30, 2010, system-wide sales increased to nearly $11 million, an increase of 46 percent over the prior 12-month period. Same store sales increased approximately 11 percent, which the company alleged is a better performance than the fast casual industry’s corresponding one.
"We went to great lengths to develop a business model where social responsibility is just as important as profitability,” said Vaughan Lazar, co-founder of Pizza Fusion. “Our franchisees benefit from our innovation in that they are not only realizing significant cost-savings, but they are also contributing to the betterment of their communities.”
Lazar said practically every store in the system has posted gains, but the California market is especially strong.
Based out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the organic pizza restaurant chain offers fresh, natural and organic foods in all its eco-friendly, LEED certified locations worldwide.
