ProfitSolve app assists with competitive wine pricing

Fetzer Vinyards has announced the launch of ProfitSolve, a mobile phone application designed to help restaurant and bar operators to optimize wine profitability in the context of their local competitors.

According to a company press release, ProfitSolve is sponsored by Fetzer, built by Greygoo Media and powered by Restaurant Sciences' data. Fetzer provides the application free-of-charge to its national network of beverage-alcohol distributors.

"We are delighted to lead the wine industry in providing operators a ground-breaking new tool to help manage their bottled and glass wine portfolios," said Rodrigo Maturana, global marketing director of Fetzer Vineyards.

Using ProfitSolve, restaurant and bar managers can look up pricing trends for any varietal by local market area and by industry segment. The app includes pricing data from more than 20,000 restaurants and bars serving beverage alcohol, the release said.

"Not only are we adding value for bar managers with this first-of-a kind mobile application but with Fetzer as a sponsor, we are able to provide it to bar managers for free," said David Albert, head of strategy at Greygoo Media.
