MELVILLE, N.Y.—Quick-serve pizza and pasta chain, Sbarro, posted a 4.8 percent increase in comparable-store sales for the 12 weeks ended Oct. 8, 2006. According to a regulatory filing, comps were up 4.2 percent for the same period in 2005.
Revenue for the period was up slightly at $79.9 million versus $79.3 million in 2005. Net income was $2 million versus $323,000 in the comparable period.
