Eric Cantor, the U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader, and Senator Joe Donnelly, will be the featured speakers during the National Restaurant Association's 28th annual Public Affairs Conference, April 29-30 in Washington, D.C.
According to a news release, the conference will feature 600 restaurateurs who will meet with lawmakers to discuss key legislation and policy issues that directly affect the foodservice industry. The event also will feature former White House Press Secretary and Fox News host Dana Perino.
Cantor represents Virginia's 7th congressional district. He has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2001 and was elected by his colleagues in the House to serve as Majority Leader for the 112th and 113th Congresses. He previously served as House Minority Whip.
Donnelly represents Indiana in the United States Senate. Previously, he served the 2nd congressional district of Indiana in the House of Representatives and was first elected in 2006. After being reelected to the House in 2008 and 2012, Donnelly was elected to the Senate in 2012.
The NRA's 2014 Public Affairs Conference theme is "Stand Up for Restaurants."
