Revention Inc. has been chosen as one of Houston Business Journal's Best Places to Work.
Companies were selected for the award on the basis of being top performers in their industries, and were also evaluated by their employees. Nominated companies were surveyed by a third party firm, Quantum Workplace, which issued each company a score based on employees' anonymous answers. All employees were given the opportunity to take the confidential survey online.
According to a news release, employees were asked about their companies' goals and leadership, communication and support, advancement opportunity and skill development, recognition and compensation, tolerance and flexibility, fun and teamwork initiatives, and innovation and ideas. Philanthropic initiatives were also assessed.
Each firm was required to have scored at least an 85 on its employee survey to be named a finalist. The list of finalists was then narrowed down to 100 by HBJ based on industry performance, as well emphasis on teamwork and philanthropy.
According to Revention, the company prioritizes fun and cohesiveness. Office perks include an arcade room, on-site professional massage therapist, competitive benefits, travel opportunities, frequent company gatherings, weekly catered events and more.
