Sammy's Woodfired Pizza announces gluten-free options

SAN DIEGO -- Sammy's Woodfired Pizza has added a new gluten-free pizza dough substitution to its menu, the company announced. The substitute is available on any of their 24 gourmet pies.
 
Gluten, primarily found in wheat products, is highly intolerable to sufferers of celiac disease, a digestive disorder which damages the small intestine. A study conducted at University of Maryland found that one in 133 Americans has celiac disease.
 
Sammy's currently operates 15 locations throughout Southern California and Nevada.
