SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Peter Piper Inc. has appointed Frank Sbordone as chief executive officer over its 141-unit Peter Piper Pizza chain.
According to a news release, Sbordone was previously president and chief operating officer. The addition of the CEO's post correlates with the chain's renewed focus on growth. It anticipates opening 14 units this year.
"As president and COO, Frank has done an outstanding job of positioning the Peter Piper brand for significant growth," said Neil Simon, vice chairman of the board. "In addition to implementing a new store design, he's initiated game ownership, signed several large development agreements with new franchisees in Mexico, and strengthened the brand with Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks sponsorships."
Prior to joining the company in 1997 as CFO, Sbordone was senior vice president of Ruby Tuesday Inc.
Peter Piper Pizza is a family pizza and entertainment chain. Its locations range in size from 8,500 to 10,000 square feet and offer multiple dining and entertainment options.
