LODI, Calif. -- PayStar Corporation, a provider of wireless banking services, announced the signing of a letter of intent with eXcape Business Transactions, Inc., of Vancouver, Canada, to deploy handheld wireless terminals to select Domino's Pizza franchisee locations for beta testing.

The company did not disclose where those franchises are located, and according to a Domino's spokesman, no corporate stores are involved.

The hand-held portable wireless terminals will accept debit cards and credit cards at the point of pizza delivery. The partners in the transaction will share revenue from each transaction processed. PayStar Financial Service's Division, utilizing eXcape technology, will provide a payment gateway using high-speed wireless payment authorization and Internet-based data access and retrieval.

"PayStar's easy-to-use system will increase driver safety by reducing cash on hand,' stated William D. Yotty, PayStar chairman and CEO, in a company release.

PayStar said it plans to deploy several thousand wireless units in 2002 to mobile merchants such as food delivery, tradesmen, route sales, special event vendors, taxis and other non-stationary businesses that now accept credit and debit cards.
