TULSA, Okla. — America's Incredible Pizza Company has hired Marc Simon as its new chief executive officer effective September.
According to a news release, Simon is the former vice president for corporate development with McDonald's Corp., where he helped acquire Chipotle Mexican Grill. He later became its central region director. He also spent 16 years with Ernst & Young, LLP, where he was a consulting principal for 11 years.
"When we started our search for new leadership, we aimed for the very top," said Rick Barsness, founder and current CEO of America's Incredible Pizza Company. "With Marc, we have found a senior executive who has been where we want to go. We plan to grow to more than 100 units, experience exponential growth, and introduce our unique brand into many, many new markets. Marc has been there and he is the perfect person to help us grow America's Incredible Pizza Company."
Simon will take over the day-to-day oversight of the executive management team while Barsness will focus on franchise sales and finding new investors for the company.
America's Incredible Pizza Company is a six-unit, '50s-themed family entertainment center. The company has sold a total of 73 franchise locations from the Rockies to the Midwest through Florida and in Mexico.
Each of the all-indoor, smoke-free and alcohol-free facilities features buffets for freshly-made pizza, pasta, salad, soup and dessert, plus an indoor "Fairgrounds area" featuring go-kart racing, mini-golf, bowling (some locations), a video and redemption game arcade featuring and bumper cars.
