JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An area developer for the Snappy Tomato Pizza chain wants to open 100 units in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas over the next three years.
According to the Florida Times-Union, franchisee Charles LaMont said the first of his Snappy units is scheduled to open in Jacksonville this year. Another 24 units are expected to open in Duval and Clay counties, home to Jacksonville and St. Augustine, over the next four years.
LaMont did not specify a development schedule for the other 75 units.
Snappy Tomato is headquartered in Florence, Ky. Its 54 units are located in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Missouri. Currently the chain has nine units in Florida.
Snappy Tomato sells pizzas, appetizers, sandwiches and salads. Some locations include sit-down buffets, and some are located within convenience stores.
